The single-level residence was
designed and built to take
advantage of the 360-degree view
looking out to Mt. Jefferson and
from the Cascade and from
Cascade Mountains to Coast
Range.
With 2610 sq/ft of living area,
and an oversized 24x24 two-car
garage, completely finished
inside.
The home is well-appointed and
includes hardwood floors,
granite counters, custom
cabinetry, and large windows to
enjoy the panoramic valley
views.
The kitchen and family room are
on the east side of the home,
and the living and dining room
are in the center of the house.
The custom-designed home was
constructed in 1991 with
conservation in mind under the
electric utility, Consumer's
Power, Inc.
energy saving program, "Super Good
Cents". The house has 6" walls,
thermal windows and doors, plus solar panels that reduce
the electric bill to a minimum
in summer and still produce
about 25% of the energy even in
the winter. The floor plan
was carefully considered for
an easy and comfortable flow,
and has 3 foot
doors for handicap access (even
in the master shower.
The existing family garden
produces all of the kitchen crop
such as, green beans, tomatoes,
cucumbers, beets, asparagus, onions and
shallots and also has three 50'
rows of blueberries, with one
row of Marion berries.
